Riding Lessons

We presently have four instructors who share in the teaching responsibilities.

Sarah Banbury, BSA, BLS, owner of Banbury Farm, is a certified Level 1 Coach and a Equine Canada (EC) Senior Judge in Dressage. With over 25 years teaching and judging experience, Sarah has been a senior Hunter, Jumper, Hack and Equitation judge for many years, and was the recipient of the 3M coaching award in 1989.

Oonagh Fowlis is a certified Level 1 coach and has been teaching since about 1990. Oonagh started riding at Banbury farm at age 7 and later spent a year training with Kim Kirton and at Kemptville College in the riding program. Oonagh works as a medical secretary and teaches riding on Thursday evenings.

Allison Rawlings started riding when she was 8 at Centaur Riding School near Ottawa, and has been a riding student at Banbury Farm since moving to Waterloo in 1996. Allie led the summer daycamps for many years and teaches on Thursday afternoons. Allie starts many of the young beginner riders and is working towards her Instructor's Certificate, and is currently studying nursing.

Annette Korval has recently started teaching younger riders on Saturdays. Annette has been a student of Sarah's for several years.
